  2. You know someone is serious when they go and have the food tested themselves! Glad to know the label on sardines aren’t lying about their omega 3 since a lot of food companies over exaggerate to make more money.

  4. Something about buying pre boiled eggs makes me cringe. Also you'd have to eat 30 oz of a simple lettuce salad to get you to 2100mg potassium. We usually need 4700.

  7. When you are first starting out, whether new to keto or just starting to cook, this is wonderful advice. This is so you do not become discouraged. I have been cooking for many, many years, and it fits my lifestyle to cook from recipes, complex or not, or just make up stuff and cook it for the fun of it. Now I have transformed my kitchen and pantry, and made it so that one could barely tell the difference between my old way of cooking and this newer one. My husband is also very happy, and that's what really counts.

I am really disappointed in the "advice" you are dispensing in this video. a healthy well balanced nutrient dense Keto lifestyle is about using whole ingredients and making your own meals as much as possible. Store bought boiled eggs? Canned tuna and sardines? Too hard to make an interesting salad? I think this was the first video you have made that I disagree with you and your statements. You can make amazing meals and freeze extras for busy days or do weekend meal prep and then enjoy fresh healthy meals. What you are describing is simulating fast food or junk food type meals (protein shakes),. Food is to be enjoyed as much as possible, This was not one of your better videos.

  17. Make your own mayonnaise, it takes 3 minutes to get the hand blender, crack an egg, put some oil(sunflower? olive?) and brrrt. Add salt/mustard/lemon juice/black pepper by taste.

  18. Question: do you typically stick to 20g carbs a day? I tried my hardest when Keto to do that and it was tough, I’m asking because I tried to avoid sugary vegetables like snap peas and other nuts that had high carbs- and nut butters I found had somewhat high carbs.

  24. Nobody ever thinks about meal prepping eggs, but I suggest buying a dozen eggs and boil all of them! That way you can always keep a hard boiled egg in your pocket 🙂

  27. I live in China and if you don't boil your vegetables, let me just say you'll be in big trouble for days, and that is if you are lucky not to get a parasite.

  29. The one thing I am floored about from this video is sugar snap pea’s. I was enjoying them and then thought that peas would be too high in sugar as I’ve often heard, so I stopped. But he saying you can eat the whole bag? I mean I can’t do that because I’m trying to lose weight but is anybody else eating sugar snap peas freely?

  31. I like to make a pot of soup for the week:
    Beef bone broth, or vegetable broth. (Swansson pre-made brand hasn't kicked me out of ketosis, but do what suits you.)
    I then add, broccoli, carrots, spinach, squash, zucchini, brussel sprouts, onions, celery, bell peppers, cauliflower and diced tomatoes a clove or 2 of garlic and a bay leaf.
    Fill the pot with broth and water(optional) until the vegetables are all covered.
    Then cover the pot and cook it on medium-high heat. Keep it boiling until the broccoli is tender enough (to your liking).
    Turn down to simmer, and season to taste. I add Tajin seasoning (It's chili and lime powder), rosemary, salt and pepper, and cayenne powder.

  34. Do not buy boiled eggs. They will be older than the hills. I get fresh eggs and steam them six at a time. Great snack. I cook one organic chicken and eat that all week long. Great bone broth too is an added bonus.

  38. I've had to be on Disaster Assistance duty, and stayed in hotels for months, and found that Trader Joe's had some already boiled eggs. Very thankful for those – when I could not boil my own. And salads when I did not have a refrigerator.

  39. The nuts have to be soaked and sprouted, though, right? Dr. Berg I am being told to soak & sprout all nuts and beans and grains, but I have less time for that. Will unsprouted nuts cause a lot of damage to the gut?

  41. Yeahhhhh! Wisconsin represent! I live in Denver, but my sister recently visited, and I had her stuff as much cheese from the co-op as she could. Nothing like that Wisco cheese!
